AccommodationsThe neighborhood of Birchwood is designed especially for residents who may require some assistance to maintain as high of level of independence as their health situation will allow. Birchwood assisted living provides a combination of housing, personal care services and health care. We are a member of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aged (AAHSA), the association for not-for-profit organizations serving the aged According to AAHSA, a review of government statistics shows not-for-profit organizations provide greater quality of service and care compared to for-profit organizations. Not-for-profit organizations were found to offer more hours of care per patient per day, invest more resources in patient care and average significantly fewer deficiencies than for-profit homes.Trained caregivers provide assistance to residents on a 24-hour a day basis. An experienced staff of registered and licensed nurses oversees this care. Nurses develop service plans for each resident based on what assistance they need. These service plans are reviewed and revised on a quarterly basis, or more often if needed. Apartment HomesWe offer spacious Studio and One Bedroom Apartment Homes. The community's surrounding acres are beautifully landscaped to take advantage of the panoramic views of the Gallatin Valley and surrounding mountain ranges. For those residents with green thumbs, a garden plot space is available to grow flowers, fruits and vegetables. Gardening activities are moved to our greenhouse during the fall and winter months.Historically, Hillcrest has had a community on this property since 1963. The community was rebuilt and updated several years ago resulting in an active adult living neighborhood that is comfortable, refined and inviting. Hillcrest Community has an open Montana lodge feeling with panoramic vistas and rustic comfortable furniture. The neighborhood is located in a spacious setting with lovely old trees in a beautiful park-like feel. |
